The Greater Augusta Back to School Program is a dedicated nonprofit organization driven by community volunteers committed to empowering every child in the Greater Augusta, Maine area. We provide essential school supplies, winter coats, and literacy resources to ensure academic success and equitable education for all. Believing that "it takes a village to raise a child," our mission is to break down barriers, foster a love of learning, and equip students with the tools they need to reach their full potential.
A Message from our Board Chairs
As Board Chairs of the Greater Augusta Back to School Program, we are deeply committed to ensuring every child in our community has the resources they need for academic success. Our initiatives - the Backpack Giveaway, Winter Coat Giveaway, and Literacy Program are designed to remove barriers to education by providing essential school supplies, warm clothing, and access to books.
