Back to School Event

Volunteer of the Greater Augusta Back to School Program

What We Provide


Each year, we assemble and distribute thousands of backpacks filled with grade-appropriate school supplies for students in Pre-K through high school. These items include:

  • Notebooks, binders, folders

  • Pens, pencils, markers, crayons

  • Glue sticks, scissors, rulers

  • Backpacks

  • Additional supplies as needed for specific grades
     

Who We Serve
Our program supports families in the Greater Augusta region, including Augusta, Gardiner, Hallowell, Manchester, Sidney, Readfield, Winthrop, Whitefield, Chelsea, and other surrounding towns. We partner with schools and local agencies to identify families in need.

How to Receive Supplies
Families can attend the distribution event the third Sunday in August at the Augusta Civic Center. Keep an eye on our Events or News page for details.
